Everyone is caring for the baby…

Who is caring for you?

Becoming a mother
changes everything.

You don't have to
do it all alone.

Gentle and holistic in-home postpartum care that nourishes you, supports you exactly where you are, and helps you feel held as you navigate your unique experience of motherhood.

You have almost made it through another exhausting day. You're trying to prepare dinner, but all your precious baby wants is to be held, fed and comforted.

You're wondering, “How am I supposed to do it all?” “How is everyone else managing?”

And as the evening stretches on, you're already thinking ahead to what the night has in store… the multiple night feeds, the broken sleep, and those moments alone in the darkness when you find yourself questioning what you're doing and wondering if you're getting any of this right.

I see you, beautiful.

You were never meant to do this alone.

You deserve to be nourished and cared for too.

I would love to be a part of your village… to walk alongside you, offer practical and emotional support, and create a little more space for you to breathe, rest and simply be cared for.

Motherhood is better when we do it together.

This support is for the mother who is doing her best.

You might be the woman who is usually capable, organised and independent.

But motherhood has changed the rules and your precious little one doesn’t follow them. Things can feel so out of control.

Your days can feel both monotonous and unpredictable. Your body is recovering. You are sleep deprived. Your emotions often feel closer to the surface. Your relationships may be changing. Your identity is shifting.

And somehow, you're still expected to get up and do it all over again tomorrow… on your own.

You might be thinking…

“Why am I finding this so hard?”

“Shouldn't I be coping better by now?”

“When do I get to feel like myself again?”

“Why does everyone keep asking about the baby but no one seems to ask about me?”

“I know I need support, but I don't even know what kind of support I need.”

You don't have to wait until you're completely depleted… you deserve to be cared for too.

What might support look like on an ordinary Tuesday?

Because sometimes you don't need a big solution.

You need someone to come into your home and help make the day feel possible.

Perhaps we:

Prepare something nourishing for you to eat.

Make you a cup of tea and sit while you talk.

Help you work out what can come off your list.

Hold your baby while you shower or rest.

Chat and provide some education about breastfeeding or sleep and what is normal.

Talk through something that's been weighing on you.

Help you identify what you need... and how to ask for it.

Create a little more calm in your home.

Remind you that what you're experiencing makes sense.

Help you locate other local service providers and supports.

And sometimes, support might simply be sitting beside you while you catch your breath.

There is no performance required.

Pyjamas are absolutely welcome.

What would make today feel a little easier?

There isn't a fixed list of things we have to accomplish during our time together.

We begin with what you actually need.

Depending on where you are and what your day looks like, support might include

Nourishment

Preparation of nourishing meals and snacks, practical support around simplifying food and meal planning, rest and rhythms, and gentle reminders that your body deserves care too.

Practical Support

Helping with the things that make your day feel heavier (the kitchen, or the never-ending washing) and creating more space for you to rest, recover, connect with your baby or simply breathe.

Emotional Support

A safe, judgement-free space to talk about what's really going on. The beautiful parts, the hard parts and everything in between.

Matrescence

Support to understand the physical, emotional, psychological and identity changes that come with becoming a mother.

Low Tox Living

Exploring simple, realistic ways to create a more supportive home environment for you and your family... without overwhelm, fear or the pressure to change everything at once.

Preparation

If you're still pregnant, we can gently prepare for the postpartum period. Let's think beyond the birth and consider what breastfeeding and sleep will look like and what you might need once everyone else goes home.

Wherever you are, we can begin there.

You don't need to know exactly what you need before reaching out.

You don't need to have the right words.

You don't need to be struggling “enough”.

You can simply tell me what's going on.

We'll talk about what feels hard, what you wish you had more support with, and what might help you feel a little more held right now.

From there, we can work out what support could look like.

Adelaide Hills & Surrounds

You won’t find me showing up regularly on social media. This is an intentional choice I’ve made, because I value real connection and meaningful conversations. I’d much rather get to know you properly over the phone, over a coffee at a local café, or through a Zoom call. We can talk about where you are, what you’re looking for and what support might feel right for you, and simply take some time to get to know each other and see if we’re a good fit. Because I believe the best support begins with a real connection. Motherhood is better when we do it together.
